Organiser and scope
The International Association of Health Product Manufacturers organises Health Choice Awards. The programme recognises eligible finished products for a defined product version, intended users and use context. It is not a public vote, regulatory approval or a laboratory-testing service.
Material supplied
Applicants must provide accurate, relevant and lawfully supplied evidence, disclose limitations and relationships, identify versions and remove unnecessary personal information. They remain responsible for legal compliance and substantiation of their own product claims.
Online review
Submission locks the entry and creates a receipt. Acceptance follows intake checks. Three unconflicted reviewers assess independently and a separate chair signs a reasoned decision. Requests for information and demonstrations are recorded. Progress and information requests are recorded in the account.
Award conditions
The six weights are 20, 25, 20, 15, 10 and 10 percent. Ratings use half-point increments from 0 to 5. An award requires at least 85 points, at least 4 in the first three criteria, at least 3.5 in the last three, two supporting initial recommendations and no unresolved material issue. The chair must record final criterion reasons and resolution of material disagreement.
Questions and incomplete entries
Information requests normally allow 14 calendar days to respond, with one further 14-day extension on request. An incomplete or unanswered case may be closed with reasons. Withdrawal stops progression without erasing records needed for integrity or an existing obligation.
Fees and benefits
Entry, review, feedback, appeal, the electronic certificate, public record and permitted digital mark use are free. No publication, activation or compulsory renewal payment is required. Trophies, printed certificates and labels are separately quoted optional purchases.
Decision and publication
The applicant receives the decision and reasons. An award is published after product identity and authorised public facts are confirmed. The record identifies the product, version, year, ID, context, citation, evidence scope and current status. Private source evidence and reviewer reports are not published.
Marks and certificates
Use the approved artwork only for the awarded product and recorded scope. Follow the mark guidelines, retain the year on annual artwork and link to verification. Do not imply government endorsement, universal suitability or unassessed clinical claims.
Changes and status
Report material changes before extending award use to a changed product. IAHPM may correct information, seek reassessment, mark a record under review, suspend use or withdraw recognition with a recorded basis and an opportunity to respond appropriate to the issue.
Appeals and concerns
An applicant may appeal a material factual or procedural error within 30 calendar days of decision notification, without charge. The appeal is considered by unconflicted people independent of the original decision. Concerns about integrity or public claims may be reported separately.
Data and rights
The Privacy policy explains personal information processing and retention. Applicants authorise use of supplied material for administration and assessment and confirm rights to the proposed public content. Publication is limited to the confirmed public fields and programme decision.
Rule changes
Material changes are published with an effective date and transition arrangements. The case record identifies the rules version governing the submitted entry. General website access and optional orders are also subject to their respective terms.
